With years of experience photographing proposals in Queenstown, Wanaka, Tekapo, Mt Cook and beyond, I’ll guide you through everything - from choosing the perfect location, to timing the light, to keeping the surprise safe right up until you pop the question. Planning your dream New Zealand proposal
I’ll blend in as another traveller or landscape photographer so your partner has no idea what’s coming. We’ll pick a location where it’s perfectly normal for me to be taking photos, and when you give the pre-arranged cue (something simple, like asking me to take a photo on your phone), I’ll be ready to capture the whole sequence — from the moment you ask to the happy tears and laughter afterwards.

The adventure session
If a couples photo shoot feels more natural for you both, we can plan a relaxed adventure session together — exploring stunning scenery while I guide you through some natural portraits. At the perfect moment, you’ll propose, and I’ll capture it all with the best angles and light for truly beautiful photographs.
Take things to the next level with a private helicopter flight to an epic mountain landing. I can recommend landing spots with incredible views, coordinate with the pilot, and even arrange for a bottle of bubbles to toast with after. You’ll have total privacy and unforgettable scenery for the big moment.

You’ll have a mix of candid moments and relaxed portraits, set against the incredible backdrop you’ve chosen for your proposal.

I know you’ll want to share the news quickly! I send a handful of edited sneak peeks within 48 hours, with your full gallery of high-resolution images following shortly afterwards.

how do I book a session?
Simply pop me through an email or fill in my contact form to check availability and I'll get you onto my calendar. Let me know if your dates are flexible.
I recommend booking in as soon as you can, as popular dates often get booked out way in advance.
how far in advance should we book?
do you provide unedited images?
I don't provide unedited photos to my clients and I take great pride in my editing process to ensure only the best quality images end up in your gallery.
For photo sessions, elopements and weddings within 30 minutes drive from Queenstown central there are no travel fees.
