Laura and Tristan had their beautiful wedding at Hamilton Gardens, opting to have a first look and bridal party photos before their ceremony. I’m such a fan of the many beautiful areas at Hamilton Gardens, but one of my absolute favourite is the Italian Renaissance gardens. The Romeo and Juliet balcony leant itself so perfectly for their first look.
I’ve been based down in the Waikato for four years now and, although I do love travelling for weddings, it’s always nice to photograph a wedding close to home, especially somewhere as beautiful as Hamilton Gardens. I was thrilled when Laura spotted my editorial feature in Bride and Groom magazine and asked me to capture their day.
The gorgeous couple chose to have their ceremony in the Mansfield Gardens, with the backdrop of the beautiful villa and it was just perfect. Laura chose and simple yet sophisticated gown from Astra Bridal, and Tristan rocked his tux.
